In Porto San Rocco, minutes from Trieste, find 40+ bikes – e-bikes, mountain bikes and trekking bikes – ready to ride. This is where the Italian side of the Parenzana trail starts: hop on and go.
Rental open to everyone — no membership, no strings.
The Parenzana is one of the most loved cycle trails of the upper Adriatic: sea, Istrian hills, old villages and history on a route built to be enjoyed, not endured. You don't need to be fit — just up for a relaxed ride.
It follows the old Trieste–Poreč railway: gradual, even climbs with no steep ramps. Suitable even if you haven't ridden in a while — especially on an e-bike.
One hour or five days: you don't have to ride it all. From Muggia, do a half-day taste along the coast and turn back, or plan the full trip to Poreč in stages.
In a few hours you go from the sea at Muggia to the hills of Istria, through tunnels and old viaducts, with Adriatic views and villages to stop and eat.
Start at Italy's southern edge, cross into Slovenia after a few kilometres, arrive in Croatia: three cultures, three cuisines, one trail.
"Can I do it?" is the most common worry. We help you pick the right bike — usually the e-bike if you're unsure — with real advice on stages, timing and stops.

Everything you need to set off equipped.
Muggia is the Italian start of the Parenzana, the trail that runs from here along the Istrian coast to Poreč, across Italy, Slovenia and Croatia. Renting right at the starting point means one simple thing: no transfer, no time wasted. Pick up your bike and you're on the trail within minutes.
We recommend your bike based on how you want to experience the Parenzana — the e-bike to reach the end smiling, the mountain bike if you love natural terrain. For stages, distances and what to see along the way, you'll find full guides on our dedicated portals. We make sure you start on the right bike.
The Parenzana starts in Muggia, not Trieste. No half-day lost on busy roads: pick up your bike and you're on the trail within minutes.
From Trieste, reach Muggia on the Delfino Verde across the gulf: sea views, no traffic, and your bike comes aboard. A slice of holiday already.
Leaving the car in Trieste for days is costly and awkward. Near us there's convenient parking (paid, at local rates) to leave your car while you ride.
Muggia has an unmistakable Venetian character: a square on the sea, alleys, fresh fish. Arrive the day before, sleep, eat well and set off rested.
Slovenia is just a few kilometres away, and the Parenzana takes you through three countries in one ride. Start at Italy's last edge and cross borders almost without noticing.
Don't want to tackle the whole Parenzana? Several routes start from Muggia for every level. We'll advise which one to choose and on which bike.
A flat, scenic ride with views over the Gulf of Trieste. Ideal for a short outing, even with kids. The perfect taster if you're unsure about the Parenzana.
